Košice, Luckenwalde (GER) On the last weekend of April, from 28.4 to 30.4.2017, the international tournament "Brandenburg Cup" was held in Luckenwalde, Germany, to which a numerous delegation of our wrestlers, led by coach M. Jedlička and M. Závacký, traveled. The national referee corps was represented by M. Sýkora.
Our boys did not fare well at this strong event, as S. Bučko, J. Závacký, P. Tomlein, and M. Beneš did not get past their opponents, and their opponents did not pull them into the repechage. V. Váňa lost his second match in the repechage, and the only one who managed to win a match was A. Fedorco, who fought for 3rd place but lost to his opponent by technical superiority, thus finishing in 5th place.
