"We are convinced that Jožko Lohyňa, as an MEP, will once again successfully represent our Slovakia, this time in the European Parliament," said the president of ZK Košice 1904, Ján Tokár Jr., in this context.

25. 10. 2013 | Košice (October 25, 2013) - We invite all fans of our Wrestling Club (ZK) Košice 1904 and wrestling in general to the Social Pavilion on Tr. SNP in Košice tomorrow, Saturday, October 26, to cheer on our seniors on their way to the most valuable medals from the 2013 Slovak Championships. The championship will begin in the morning, at 10 a.m., with Greco-Roman style matches and will culminate from 1 p.m. with freestyle matches. "After three years, our boys will once again compete on the championship mats in a home environment, and therefore I believe that they will show fighting hearts and sporting art in their battles. 22. 10. 2013 | Košice, Bratislava (October 22, 2013) - The seniors of our ZK Košice 1904 ultimately finished in the same position in the league competition as last year and with the same metals on their chests as their younger friends from the club - that is, with bronze medals. This was decided by the final act of the competition on the first Saturday of October on the mats in the Dunajplavba gym on Horárska Street in Bratislava.

30. 09. 2013 | Košice (September 30, 2013) - The Košice wrestling community is in mourning! After a short and very rapid course of illness, our friend, one of us - Maroš Tall - has left us forever. His fighting heart, devoted to freestyle wrestling, stopped beating on Saturday, September 28, in the evening.... Sorrow and grief have engulfed our souls. Just a month ago, he was living his life to the fullest. He used to come among us to the gym, devoted himself to wrestling, and made plans for the coming days. The news that he was struck by one of the most insidious diseases resonated among us like a shock and a bolt from the blue. That plague gave him no chance. Nor to his loved ones, who were already prepared to help him. We all now share their sorrow with them. For a young, only 19-year-old life, for a promising athlete, and for a friend who will be greatly missed, not only by his closest circle, but also by us, the family of wrestlers... 08. 06. 2013 | Košice, Snina (June 8, 2013) - Frustration, disappointment, and anger were palpable in the voice of Juraj Dancák Sr., the coach of our Wrestling Club (ZK) Košice 1904 seniors, upon his return from the 2nd round of the Slovak Senior Freestyle Wrestling League in Snina. The reason, however, was not the performance of his charges, but, paradoxically, the referees after the match in the 74 kg weight category between our Dan Pálinkás and the Ukrainian Perkhalyuk, who was competing for Vihorlat Snina, the defender of last year's first place in the competition.

01. 06. 2013 | Košice (June 1, 2013) - A single point was all that the juniors of our Wrestling Club (ZK) Košice 1904 were missing to win the silver medals in this year's Slovak Junior Freestyle Wrestling League. Not even the home mats, where the final, second round of the competition took place, helped our boys to more valuable metals. The winner of the league was Vihorlat Snina with a thirteen-point lead over AC Nitra and another point ahead of the defending champion ZK Košice 1904.

24. 05. 2013 | Košice (May 24, 2013) - In the gym of the Secondary Vocational Construction School at Ostrovského street 1 in Košice, on Saturday, May 24, the 32nd edition of the international cadet tournament for the Cup of the Director of the Sports Gymnasium in Košice will take place. Come and cheer on our boys on their way to victory! The competition, organized by our Wrestling Club Košice 1904, will begin at 10 a.m. "I want to inform our fans that this year's tournament will take place in an unconventional location - in the new and beautiful gym on Ostrovského street. It is not far from our wrestling hall in the Social Pavilion, so I believe that it will not be an inconvenience for the spectators and they will come to cheer on our boys," invites the president of the Wrestling Club Košice 1904, Ján Tokár Jr., to the tournament.

24. 04. 2013 | Košice (April 24, 2013) - In mid-April, the members of our ZK Košice 1904 met for a members' meeting to review the past year of 2012. The club's management once again considers it a good year, although the seniors' results in the league and especially the financial support from third parties could have been better. We once again became the most successful club in Slovakia in both styles, D. Pálinkás, our most successful senior last year, almost made it to the London Olympics, and our wrestlers showed reserves especially at foreign tournaments. And since the club's management was satisfied with its representatives last year, they once again reached deep into their pockets and rewarded the best. The boys promised to wrestle with all their might this year as well. We are keeping our fingers crossed!

24. 04. 2013 | Košice, Terezín (April 24, 2013) - To gain as much experience as possible and try to cause an upset - that was the goal of the six-member delegation of older pupils from the Wrestling Club (ZK) Košice 1904 at the international tournament in Terezín, Poland, in mid-April. The first goal was achieved, the second not even close, coach Marek Sciranka could conclude upon his return. Only Matúš Sýkora's fifth place among the cadets satisfied the coach's demands.

20. 04. 2013 | Košice, Rimavská Sobota (April 20, 2013) - Older pupils of the Wrestling Club (ZK) Košice 1904, Samuel Mochnáč in the 73 kg category and Dušan Kmec in the 100 kg weight class, won at the Slovak Greco-Roman Style Championships and earned the titles of Slovak champions. Our eight-member team also succeeded in the overall evaluation and finished second in a competition of 16 clubs. Silver medals were won in the Gemer metropolis by Peter Kundra (up to 35 kg) and Karol Kondáš (up to 47 kg). Of the other four representatives of our club, Patrik Dánai also scored points, finishing fourth in the 42 kg category, and Matúš Kumičák took sixth place in the 47 kg weight class. Martin Vangor (up to 53 kg) and Dušan Smižanský (up to 66 kg) came away empty-handed in terms of points.

08. 04. 2013 | Košice (April 8, 2013) - The wrestlers of our Wrestling Club (ZK) Košice 1904 started the new season of the Slovak Senior League (SLS) in freestyle on the right foot! In the first round of the competition on home mats on Saturday, April 6, they fought for a victory over one of the favorites, Vihorlat Snina, and although they subsequently lost to another rival, Dunajplavba Bratislava, they kept their hope for the fight for the overall top positions. Before the second round, scheduled for June 6 in Snina, they share the provisional first place with both favorites.
