01. 01. 2020 | On November 17 and 18, the 20th edition of the Olympic Hopes tournament, which also includes the tournament for the Cup of the Director of OŠG, was held in Košice. On our home mats, we welcomed wrestlers from the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia, and of course, clubs from the Slovak Republic, although in smaller numbers than expected. We were pleased by the visit of the president of U.S. Steel, Scott D. BUCKISO, Ján BAČO, director of external relations, the sports director of our club, Jozef LOHYŇA, and other fans, former wrestlers, and sympathizers of our club.

01. 01. 2020 | Back on the competition mat after the holidays. On September 7-8, 2019, the traditional international "Youth" tournament was held in Prievidza, where our wrestlers could not be absent. Under the leadership of coach M. Jaroš, 6 competitors in the senior category and 1 in the older pupil category traveled. Wrestlers from Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary, and local clubs from Slovakia participated in the tournament.

01. 01. 2020 | They wrote about us.... Sýkora started in the round of 16, but he was no match for Vasyl Mykhailov; the Ukrainian won by technical superiority 12:1. The Slovak representative did not get a second chance in the repechage, as Mykhailov was eliminated in the semifinals. The 2017 World Championship silver medalist, Makojev, faced a very tough opponent in the qualification round. He eventually lost to the Georgian Sandro Aminashvili 1:4 on points and also said goodbye to the championship.

24. 11. 2018 | Snina (24.11.2018) The city sports hall welcomed 75 competitors in freestyle and 65 in classic style. The only senior from Košice managed to win the Slovak Championship title in both styles. Martin Sciranka dominated the 86 kg weight class. For the club, coach M. Jaroš took second place in the overall team evaluation. Congratulations!

13. 10. 2018 | Košice, Poland (13.10.2018) For the "XXVII International Tournament for the Cup of the Kraśnik Land," which took place on October 12-14, 2018, our six competitors, led by coach M. Jaroš and referee Matúš Sýkora, traveled to this tournament with international participation from 12 countries: France, Spain, Israel, Sweden, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, and local clubs from Poland.

09. 09. 2018 | Košice, Nitra. On September 28-29, 2018, the traditional 37th Jozef Svitač Memorial took place in Nitra, and on the same day, the historic first open Slovak U23 championships were held. Almost 200 competitors started at the tournament, but in the U23 category, there were only 25.

11. 08. 2018 | Považská Bystrica (August 11, 2018) On Saturday, the first beach wrestling tournament in Slovakia, called "Beach Wrestling," took place. The Košice team could not miss the first edition, and so under the coaching tactics of Michael Bodnár, four boys traveled in a reduced lineup. Andrea Šambronská and the injured Matúš Sýkora came to Považská Bystrica to support the team.

16. 06. 2018 | Košice, Ostrava (June 15-16, 2018) The annual J. Klepec Memorial in Ostrava was not without Košice boys this year either. Coach Š. Csorba traveled to the international tournament with secretary M. Miček, and they had 7 boys with them, two of whom went home as winners.

09. 06. 2018 | Košice, Luckenwalde (GER) (June 8-9, 2018) Our club traveled to the German town of Luckenwalde for the annual high-quality cadet tournament. On Friday morning, 7 boys, along with coaches M. Jaroš, M. Sciranka, Š. Csorba, and club president J. Tokár, traveled to compete in this tournament. Our young referee, M. Sýkora, also traveled with the boys to gain further refereeing experience abroad.

26. 05. 2018 | Moldava n. Bodvou, Košice (May 26, 2018) The last weekend of May saw the third edition of the international tournament for the Cup of the Director of the Center for Leisure Time in Moldava nad Bodvou. 53 children participated in the tournament, including 9 of our fighting Indians under the guidance of coaches J. Jackanin and M. Želinský. Thanks to the great results of our boys, the coaches from Moldava took home first place in the team ranking, for which we congratulate them and thank them for the successful representation of our club.

23. 05. 2018 | Košice - 23.05.2018 On Wednesday, the III. round of the School Sports League in grappling was held in the premises of our wrestling gym. With the participation of 37 competing children, we once again experienced a beautiful afternoon full of laughter, tears, but above all, the joy of sport, of which there is never enough. The event was organized by Bc. Martin Sciranka with the help of the coach of our wrestling club, Štefan Csorba. It was also a small invitation to the upcoming competition in Moldava, where our youngest wrestlers will also compete for the top spots. We support every event that is mainly for our-your children!
