Košice, Ostrava (17.06.2017) The mini-delegation of the Košice 1904 Wrestling Club finally traveled to the annual tournament on our competition calendar. Participation was uncertain until the last moment, due to various reasons, both health and personal. The number of competitors for coach Mgr. Miroslav Jedlička was reduced to one pupil and two juniors. We did not manage to get on the podium, although Samuel Beck in the 63 kg weight category and Tomáš Krupjak were the closest, both finishing in 4th place. Along with T. Krupjak in the 84 kg weight category, Samuel Koršňák also competed, for whom the tournament ended with an injury and an overall sixth place.
Coach M. Jedlička and the head of the delegation, Marcel Miček, did not hide their disappointment and the overall approach of the competitors in the past competition period. We believe that after the summer break and the preparatory training camps that await our pupils and juniors, their enthusiasm and joy for the training and competition mats will return. ah
