Košice, Snina (3.12.2017) On the first Sunday of December, the Slovak senior league culminated in Snina, where the Košice team was also present. The trip was led by coach M. Jedlička, who, together with eight wrestlers, traveled to fight in the last round of the league. The club secretary M. Miček and international referee I. Vymazal also traveled with them.

We started the last round well, defeating the Slávia Snina team 4:1, where the boys fought well. Subsequently, we received two losses, to TJ AC Nitra and Vihorlat Snina, both 3:5. These teams are strengthened by Russian and Ukrainian wrestlers, but despite this, we are able to have balanced matches with them. In the last round, we felt the absence of Slavomír Kupčo and the experienced Matej Gardoš, who were significantly missing from our lineup. We did not fill their weight categories, so it was more difficult for us to fight when we started the matches with a 0:2 deficit. We did not manage to turn it around, so we maintained third place and went home with bronze medals.
