Košice, Prague (May 29-30, 2015) TJ Bohemians Praha invited our club to the "Garbaczewski and F. Vejsada Memorial" tournament, to which two juniors traveled under the guidance of coach Štefan Csorba. In the 74 kg weight category, Samuel KORŠŇÁK, still a cadet by age, competed and won silver in a competition of four wrestlers. He was only bested by a wrestler from Ukraine, to whom he had to forfeit during the match due to an unstoppable nosebleed. In the 84 kg weight category, Matúš SÝKORA fought, also in a competition of four wrestlers. A Czech representative was beyond his strength, with whom he lost 3:9, and an Austrian wrestler, where a 2:11 loss meant a final third place for Matúš. Congratulations!

Košice, Racibórz (May 29-31, 2015) The program this weekend for the junior national team was the Poland Open for juniors. 60 juniors from POL, RUS, LTU, UKR, GER participated in the tournament. Coach Marek SCIRANKA traveled only with Jakub SÝKORA. Gabriel TYSZ could not participate in the tournament due to health reasons.

The first day of competition went well for Jakub, as he defeated the German Oswald 12:2 in the first round, then had a bye, and in the semifinals, the Russian Ilyasov stood in his way to the final, and he lost 0:10. Therefore, on the second day, in the fight for medals, Jakub wrestled for bronze against the Polish representative Olenczyn, whom he knows well. He managed to defeat him 10:4, which meant an excellent third place and a bronze for our most successful junior. mb
