Younger Pupils - G. Fischer is the Slovak Freestyle Champion
Bánovce n. Bebravou (March 31, 2012) - At the Slovak Younger Pupils Freestyle Championships, which took place on Saturday, March 31, in Bánovce nad Bebravou, Gabriel Fischer in the 52 kg weight category was the most successful of our boys, being the only representative of ZK Košice 1904 to win a gold medal, asserting himself in a competition of nine other opponents.
A good number of 107 younger pupils born between 1999 and 2001 from 17 Slovak clubs took part in the championship. Seven boys from Košice competed, which was reflected in the overall team competition ranking, as ZK Košice 1904 finished only in ninth place with 17 points, a decline from previous positions. In addition to G. Fischer, Hany Al-Kubati also made it to the podium for the top three, winning a silver medal in the 57 kg category.
