Košice, Corum (TUR) 25-30.10.2016. Corum, a student town and also the venue for this year's University World Championships. This tournament was the peak of the season for our representative, Michael Bodnár. The result for the only Košice representative meant only partial success, in the form of a placement in the top ten. After the first match and a 5:0 victory over the German representative, coach Jozef Lohyňa was hoping for a medal fight. That did not happen, as in the second round, a home wrestler awaited him, to whom our freestyle wrestler lost 2:5. After the Turk's loss in the next round, the dreams of a podium finish vanished, and we had to settle for a beautiful seventh place. We believe that the next University World Championships will be even more successful. However, the preparation does not end, as in a week, our seniors have their last test of this year, the fight for the title of Slovak Champion. We will keep our fingers crossed! ah
