Košice, Brno (June 23-24) On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the founding of the TAK Hellas Brno club, the 15th edition of the Brno Grand Prix was held. Our wrestlers also participate in the tournament every year. The traditional tournament was the last for the wrestlers before the upcoming summer holidays. The participation of 160 wrestlers from 6 countries ensured that the boys could well test their skills they had trained during the school year. js
Coach Mgr. Miroslav Jedlička traveled with seven wrestlers, who were supplemented by Jakub Sciranka, who mainly works in Bratislava.
Medals were won by:
3rd place - Michal VOKÁL - younger pupils - 43 kg
3rd place - Sebastián RUSŇÁK - older pupils - 50 kg
3rd place - Patrik TOMLEIN - cadets - 76 kg
The most successful were the Jakubs, namely Zavacký among the pupils in 54 kg and Sciranka among the seniors in the 86 kg weight category, who took home gold from the tournament.
Hany AL-KUBATI (74 kg) and Vratko VOKÁL (70 kg) did not manage to win among the seniors, and Roman PEŤÁK (86 kg) is bringing home one victory from a duel with an Austrian.
