Košice, Teresin (POL) From April 22-24, the traditional International Tournament was held in Teresin, Poland, where U15 representatives traveled with coach M. Jedlička and M. Závacký. From the Košice team, two freestyle wrestlers, J. Závacký and V. Váňa, and M. Sýkora, this time in the role of a referee, took part in the fights.
J. Závacký wrestled in the 53kg weight category and after 4 wins, he reached the final, where he faced a representative from Russia and lost by technical superiority, finishing in 2nd place.
V. Váňa competed in the 100kg weight category. After his first loss to a representative from Lithuania, he then wrestled for 3rd place, where he lost to a Pole and thus finished in 5th place.
From the other representatives, A. Gál and K. Mikécz fought for bronze, but lost their fights.
M. Sýkora received great praise for making a good impression on the organizers and referees as a referee. ms
