Košice, Bucharest (May 7-10, 2015) This year, the junior national team was not missing from the UWW tournament in Bucharest, Romania. The tournament is among the highest quality, with many countries participating. Our freestyle wrestlers have the opportunity to get to know opponents from other countries, whom they may meet at the European Championships in Istanbul (TUR). Coach Mgr. Juraj Dancák traveled with his charges Ľuboš Kundrát, Gabriel Tysz, and Daniel Chomanič from Vihorlat Snina. Due to health reasons, the most successful junior in the 60 kg weight category, Jakub Sýkora, could not complete the trio.
Ľuboš KUNDRÁT in the 84 kg weight category drew a Hungarian representative in the first round, to whom he lost by technical superiority 6:16. The Hungarian made it to the final, thus giving Ľuboš a chance to fight for the bronze medal. However, he was no match for the Moldovan and lost 4:14. He finished in 5th place in a competition of eight wrestlers.
Gabriel TYSZ in the 96 kg weight category started the tournament very well, managing to pin a physically strong Moldovan in the first match and advance. In the semifinals, an unpleasant wrestler from Finland awaited him, whom Gabo knows well from the international mats. He lost by technical superiority 0:10. He fought for third place against a Hungarian representative, whom he defeated 3:1, winning bronze in a competition of ten wrestlers. mb
