Košice, Hidasnémeti (June 18, 2016) The youngest wrestlers participated in an international tournament in nearby Hidasnémeti to measure their strength against peers from neighboring Hungarian and Slovak clubs.
The premises of the local school welcomed 100 young wrestlers to the "Rákoczi Cup" tournament. The Košice delegation traveled to the tournament under the leadership of a trio of coaches: Š. Csorba – Bc. M. Sciranka – Mgr. J. Sciranka. The president of the club, JUDr. Ján Tokár, and many parents also came to support the wrestlers.
The preparatory wrestlers did very well, winning most of their matches, and everyone managed to win a medal! Some did not have opponents in their category and so they wrestled in friendly matches. The coaches agree: "young wrestlers need to attend such competitions, where they gain valuable experience and thus also grow in performance." js
