01. 01. 2020 | Košice, Kemerovo (RUS) 22-24.9. One of the highlights for our representative, Michael Bodnár, is approaching: the University World Championships in Corum, Turkey. A high-quality tournament in faraway Kemerovo in the Siberian part of Russia served as a test before this event. The fourth edition of the "Shakhtyorskaya Slava" international tournament was also very high-quality this year. Over 200 wrestlers from 22 countries around the world were also supported by fresh Olympic champions Roman Vlasov and Soslan Ramonov from Russia.

01. 01. 2020 | In 2020, the City of Košice supported the activities of our youth club - WRESTLING CLUB KOŠICE 1904 o.z. with a grant from the Košice city budget in the amount of EUR 5,563.

01. 01. 2020 | In 2022, the City of Košice, through a grant from the Youth Sports Fund, supported the young and talented athletes of the Košice 1904 Wrestling Club with an amount of EUR 5,980.

01. 01. 2020 | The Olympic Hopes Tournament in the junior category, held in November 2022, was successfully organized by the Košice 1904 Wrestling Club thanks to the support of the City of Košice with a grant of EUR 1,900.00 from the Sports Activities Fund.

01. 01. 2020 | Košice, on November 4-5, the Slovak Championships in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling were held in Prievidza. Wrestlers from ZK Košice 1904 also traveled to this pinnacle event of the year. Our delegation consisted of coaches: M. Jedlička, J. Lohyňa, M. Sciranka, Š. Csorba, club secretary Marcel Miček, and ZK president J. Tokár, and from the referees A. Šambronská, I. Vymazal, M. Gardoš. Our eight competitors performed in freestyle as follows:

01. 01. 2020 | On November 18 and 19, the International Tournament for the Cup of Olympic Hopes was held in Košice. On our home mats, we welcomed wrestlers from Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Latvia, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia, and of course, clubs from the Slovak Republic. From the home team of Košice, the following competed in the junior category:

01. 01. 2020 | On November 25-27, the 25th edition of the International Tournament "For the Cup of the Kraśnik Land" was held in the Polish city of Kraśnik. Eight boys in the junior and cadet categories traveled to this tournament with coach M. Jedlička. Our juniors did not have a very happy start to the tournament. In the 74 kg weight category, Ľuboš Kundrát competed. In his first match, he lost to a Pole by technical superiority, he managed to win the second match by fall, but in the third match, he also lost to a Pole by technical superiority.

01. 01. 2020 | Košice, Teresin (POL) From April 22-24, the traditional International Tournament was held in Teresin, Poland, where U15 representatives traveled with coach M. Jedlička and M. Závacký. From the Košice team, two freestyle wrestlers, J. Závacký and V. Váňa, and M. Sýkora, this time in the role of a referee, took part in the fights. J. Závacký wrestled in the 53kg weight category and after 4 wins, he reached the final, where he faced a representative from Russia and lost by technical superiority, finishing in 2nd place. V. Váňa competed in the 100kg weight category. After his first loss to a representative from Lithuania, he then wrestled for 3rd place, where he lost to a Pole and thus finished in 5th place. From the other representatives, A. Gál and K. Mikécz fought for bronze, but lost their fights. M. Sýkora received great praise for making a good impression on the organizers and referees as a referee.

01. 01. 2020 | Košice, Brno (June 23-24) On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the founding of the TAK Hellas Brno club, the 15th edition of the Brno Grand Prix was held. Our wrestlers also participate in the tournament every year. The traditional tournament was the last for the wrestlers before the upcoming summer holidays. The participation of 160 wrestlers from 6 countries ensured that the boys could well test their skills they had trained during the school year. js

01. 01. 2020 | Košice, Snina. On November 3-4, the Slovak Championships in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling were held in Snina. Wrestlers from ZK Košice 1904 also traveled to this pinnacle event of the year. Our delegation was led by coach M. Jedlička, who traveled with eight competitors determined to win the title of Slovak champion. A trio of referees, A. Šambronská, I. Vymazal, and M. Gardoš, were also present in nearby Snina. The club president J. Tokár, secretary M. Miček, preparatory coach Š. Csorba, and other fans of our club also came to support the boys.
